Who Is Malana?

According to the astrological signs
of the Chinese and the
Maya I was born under the sign of a
healer. My spiritual gift
that supports those signs is that of
an Empathic. As a young person I never knew this and had no interest in formal
medicine. It took over thirty years for me to come full circle from mother,
sales, horticulturalist, herbalist and then onto the study of Herbal Medicine.
The directive for a Traditional
Naturopath is to seek the root cause of a problem and not become distracted by
symptoms. By the end of my first year as a practicing ND, I was realizing the
‘root cause’ is not always physical. So, by my 50th birthday, my path as a
Holistic Healer was leading me into the study of Metaphysics. What began as a
pursuit of knowledge in subtle energy was soon opening doors to exploring the
mysteries of the Universe.
Combining subtle energy and
metaphysics brought light and reason to many of the “rules” and limits humankind
uses to govern itself. I found that guidance from Spiritual Masters of the past
was based on sound Universal Principles; morality that would guarantee our good
health and happiness if we could accept them. Yet, there was no judgment or
punishment for not, only the natural results that followed our decisions.
With the sense of freedom that this
knowledge offered I was no longer content to follow the ‘rules.’ I wanted to
know the TRUTH beneath the tenet…and whether the rule was a distortion of the
truth. My studies led me to sit at the feet of teachers of sacred Native
American traditions, Hawaiian Kupuna and Maya Elders.
Through the melding of each of these
wisdoms I awoke to the realization that there are unseen forces that affect our
world. I recognized the physical world is only a small percentage of the
‘truth’ and can become easily distorted by our perspective. That everything
exists as energy first and the physical world is directed by our powerful minds,
made even greater by our connection to a “Great Mind.’
The melding of each of these
influences shapes the information I offer in my consultations and workshops, as
well as the books and articles I write.
